Almvghty Angel T-Shirt Design

Over the last few months, I worked on a T-Shirt Design for Almvghty Clothing. I tried to do something of better quality for this illustration, specifically trying to use thinner line art for it. The shirt prints aren’t out yet, but I’ll let you all know when they’re up for sale online.

Here are a few in progress art things for this:

New Cards

I don’t have much to speak about in terms of things I’ve done over the week. I’m still waiting for the prints of Shirley’s Day, so as I wait for that I’m working on this animatic music video. Due to some filing issues, I had to spend most of the week renaming and reassigning missing footage files. I only wanted to add captions but things pop up and you gotta deal with them I suppose.

A few things I’ve got done over the week:

After seven years of not doing it, I finally got some new business cards printed courtesy of Primo Print. I mostly used my Gogh the Goat Wizard painting since this is my shtick for right now. It’s a bit boring but my cards have the right information now.

News of the World

There hasn’t been much for me to talk about these weeks.

For those who haven’t heard before, I finished my comic, Shirley’s Day, and it’s stated to release for print around September 11th (you probably will need a reminder).

But, you can buy a digital version on Etsy to support me! It’s 16 pages of content, which includes some behind the scenes stuff that I felt I couldn’t post online due to the nature of the story I was telling.

In this time, I’m in the process of working on many different things:

More Cover Progress

After a bit of internal hemming and hawing, I think I’ve completed my cover of my short comic, Shirley’s Day. I’ve been working on this comic on and off by myself for the past three years! It’s been super long but I’m hitting the home stretch!

I’ve made more progress over the week in finishing the cover to Shirley’s Day.

I’m a bit split on using blur, on the one had I want to push the main character forward as much as possible, but on the other hand it might look tacky and amateurish, so I overall decided not to.

The final few pieces of work for the cover. I decided to do something subtle and color the line art. I didn’t want to do it initially, but I felt I needed to make the cover as good as I can and put the effort in!

Shirleys Day Cover Illustration Process

I’ve been working on a new cover for Shirley’s Day over the past week. Here is a little bit of work in progress over the week. I have no pencils because I laid everything in blue pencil.

If I ever make any money off this comic, I’m the first thing I’m buying is some Pro-White.

Here are some thumbnail sketches of the covers as well.

7/23/2018 Update

I don’t have much to update for this week. I was spending the week doing some clean ups and finishes on an old freelance commission I plan to post soon.

I’ve also did a few turnaround sketches of my Rat Characters so I could have a rough color chart for my painting I’m working on. I feel like I’m just procrastinating now that I’m thinking about this more, especially since I still haven’t got my comic cover ready and my deadline is looming.

7/15/2018 The Home Stretch

Bad news is that I made slightly less progress than I wanted on my stream painting this week. It’s not horrible, I managed I put down some rough colors for the characters, but I feel like I need to examine the color relationships a bit more.

But the good news is that, I’ve finished all of the interiors of Shirley’s Day! All that is left is to finish work on the cover, arrange the pages for mass print and I can finally have it complete!

Some sketches I made over the last week but I still haven’t posted on this site yet.
