4/21/2018 Rat Kingdom Painting

For my latest stream, I did something new where I painted my Rat Kingdom sketch I did a while ago.

In other good news, I am only one page of coloring away from completing Shirley’s Day! I’ll probably rework the lettering a bit and add a cover page, but I am very close to the completion of this three year project!

C2E2 Love and Sketchbook Talking

I missed an update due to C2E2 being two weekends ago! I had a good time showing off my work and meeting cool artists there!  Most feedback on my comic just asked me to finish Shirley’s Day and print it myself to give away to people to show off, so despite all my doubts strangers like my artwork.

I despite not speaking to enough artists and attending panels, I had a decent time and I’m glad I went. Hopefully, next year I’ll be at Artist Alley.

As for my comic progress, I’ve made little. My computer crash during the stream and I didn’t save my progress, so I lost a good hour of work. Frustrated with faulty tablet drivers, I ended the stream early that night. I can knock out the comic another time.

Some artwork and sketches I haven’t posted yet.

I’d been doing some refinements on Gogh the Goat Wizard and trying to figure out a decent story for him.

One idea I have for a new comic story, is for Cole the Raccoon Merchant to meet up with a party of adventurers to sell his stuff to.

This is the fighter character of the party who is with Gogh the Goat Wizard and Weasel Thief. The most I thought of him is a “generic” super warrior type, like Brock Samson.

He’s inspired by the Guin Saga of books mostly in visuals and is a very minor character. Maybe when I delve more into the story, I could think of a better personality.

I was filling out my Sketchwallet and doodled this jungle cat girl during the train to the convention. I’m feeling the design a bit so I wanted to do some refining.

I did a turnaround sketch for her. I could stand to give less characters bandages though…

I’m currently thinking that Jungle Cat could be a suitable replacement for the big jaguar guy since she looks more interesting as a design.

3-5-2018 Characters

I was having a bit of a hectic week, catching up with important things like renewing my drivers license, fixing my car, and completing a commission that I haven’t made much comic progress. My posting has been more sporadic because I’m trying to figure out how to get the quality of my artwork to better snuff. Daily sketches are fine but not when they never finish and it’s  thing that bothers me often. I’m trying my best to post better work and not just phoning in a sub-par daily sketch that means nothing to me.

This was a commissioned character for a game called Knockout Mice. This is nice and all but I’m not feeling the line art is up to snuff, but I managed to get it done in a timely matter and my client was happy with it.

Acrylic coloring of an Antelope Warrior Character. I kind peg him as a nameless grunt who wars with the Lion Legion.

I managed to push through and knock out this large background! The hard part of coloring Page 1 is finally done!

Here’s some other digital art I worked on over the week.

Coloring Time

I’ve done another stream last Saturday with a new streaming website on Stream.Me!

This time I’ve started the coloring process of my comic. I made less progress than I wanted and I’m not 1000% happy with the flats but I’m only in the first few steps of my comic.

Here some other sketches as well.

11/26/2017 Sketches and Drawings

Artwork of the this week. Not much notable news really.  I made some progress on my Deadpool Vs Hulk Request. I wanted to color it that day but the ink didn’t dry quick enough on stream.
