Inktober Week 5

Here is art from the final week of my work during Inktober, delivered in a “timely” manner.

For this final week, I wanted to build off of the backgrounds from last week and try more “illustrative” sketches. I see many other artists that make Inktober posts that could be illustrations themselves and I felt like that I needed to kick my game up or be left in the dust.

While working on this long month of art, I actually took more account into exactly how long I take to do art and I’ve become more aware of my process and how it compares to others. I think that it’s something I need to work on more in the future as I don’t feel satisfied with what I can potentially do in my work.

In the future, I want to make my work better presentable and color a few of the ink drawings I did for Inktober as well as other misc work in my folders. I need to finish more completed works if I want to actually do well with my artwork.

With this project complete, I will return to the comic that I’ve accidentally delayed on. If I finish this comic, I feel like I can justify doing another one. I’m still on the line about placing my focuses on comics or trying to get more into storyboarding and animation like I wanted to in the past.

Also I’m in  the process of setting myself up to take paid commissions but that is news for a future time. I’ll let you know as soon as I’m in a more confident position.
